- What is MerryGo?
- MerryGo helps a group plan a Walt Disney World trip together. It learns what your group loves, shows what's genuinely worth booking for your group, and computes the exact dates the booking windows open for your trip — so you can do everything you want to do.
- Why did you make MerryGo?
- I wanted a customized itinerary for an upcoming Walt Disney World trip. Since I'm comfortable with AI, I tried to use ChatGPT and Claude to create one, but they had massive limitations: they couldn't remember who was in my group or our travel preferences, there was no way to collect feedback or preferences from anyone else, and they didn't have up to date information — so they gave decent general advice but missed the specifics, including new and closed attractions. At Disney, one wrong fact can ruin a day, and maybe a whole vacation. So I built MerryGo to fix all of that — to remember your group, help everyone collaborate on one plan, and run on verified facts — while still putting together a smart, customized trip.
- How is this different from just asking ChatGPT or Claude?
- Those tools have their place — but they're set up to answer one-off questions; they're not great for planning a trip with a group over multiple weeks or months. A chatbot doesn't remember who's coming, doesn't give your group a place to weigh in or fill in what they know, and will confidently make up information — and, with Disney trips, one wrong detail can wreck a day. MerryGo remembers your group, pulls everyone in with one shareable link, and runs on facts we've verified and cited, not generated. ChatGPT and Claude will keep getting smarter and better over time — but a looked-up, cited fact beats a guessed one every time, and they were never built to coordinate group travel.
- Who is it for?
- Any group going to Walt Disney World together — a couple, a few friends, or several families wrangling a dozen people. One person sets up the trip; everyone else weighs in and fills in their own details.
- Do I need an account?
- Only the organizer signs in. The people you invite need no account— they open your link, rate the shortlist, fill in anything only they know, and they're done.
- How does signing in work?
- We email you a magic link; tap it and you're in. The link works once and expires in about an hour, so there's nothing to leak or remember.
- How do I get in?
- MerryGo is invite-only while we're in beta, opening spots in batches. If you're not in yet, join the waitlist and we'll email you when a spot opens.
- How does my group take part?
- You share one link. Everyone rates the ideas you've shortlisted, as “must-do,” “nice to have,” or “fine to skip” — no accounts, no spreadsheet, and no group-chat archaeology. They can also fill in the details only they know — a child's height, a dietary need, a person you left off — for you to approve onto the plan. Their answers land in your plan as they come in.
- Does MerryGo book anything for me?
- No. MerryGo tells you whatto grab and the exact day each booking window opens — then you book through Disney's official channels. We never take payment or reserve anything on your behalf.
- Is this affiliated with Disney?
- No. MerryGo is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by The Walt Disney Company. It's an informational planning tool.
- Where do the facts and dates come from?
- The booking dates and rules come straight from Disney's official sources. For the thousands of details that shape a plan — ride heights, menus, prices, showtimes — we start with Disney and cross-check against the most trusted names in Disney planning, then stamp every fact with its source and the day we last checked it (tap any fact in your plan to see it). When Disney hasn't announced something yet, MerryGo labels it estimated and re-checks on a regular schedule, so you always know how solid a fact is.
- How does it handle kids' heights and ages?
- You (or your group members) provide the information, then MerryGo states the facts — a child's height compared to a ride's minimum, and that final height is checked at the park — and lets you decide. We never predict whether a child will be tall enough for any given ride, because heights change and are measured (and often re-measured) at the gate.
- What does it cost?
- Free during our open beta — and always free for everyone your organizer invites. If we add paid features later, the cost, if any, would sit with the organizer.
- What about my data and privacy?
- We collect only what's needed to plan your trip, we don't sell your data, and you can delete it. See our Privacy Policy and Security overview.
